Frank Turner who is about to celebrate his 3000th show and release his tenth album ‘Undefeated‘ on May 3rd, has announced a unique challenge.
On May 4th he plans to attempt the Music Venue Trust world record for the most gigs played in different cities in 24 hours with 15 shows across the UK. Each set must be at least 20 minutes long. The challenge aims to support grassroots venues and independent record stores.
London’s FREENOW app will provide e-taxis for his 500-mile journey. Turner’s effort is not just about self-promotion; it highlights the importance of independent music infrastructure.
Music Venue Trust CEO Mark Davyd is supporting the attempt, which will feature shows in various cities starting from Liverpool and ending in Southampton.
