Ekaterina Gordon, a well-known celebrity lawyer, has announced that she will represent Polina Askeri in her legal battle against her ex-husband, billionaire Boris Belotserkovsky. According to Gordon, this is the first time she’s seen such an unusual and controversial situation in court.
“We’ve officially taken on Polina’s case against Mr. Belotserkovsky”
Gordon shared on her social media. She described the case as “unique”, because the judge decided to treat the prenup as a child support agreement — a move that effectively let Boris escape his financial obligations, even though he had signed the agreement voluntarily.
Gordon pointed out the contradiction: while Boris publicly talks about his massive wealth, in court he managed to present himself as a “low-income man”. She sarcastically compared the situation to a “Cinderella story in reverse”, where instead of magic, the prenup turned into a pumpkin — but Polina is not the Cinderella here.
Gordon warns that this dangerous precedent could affect many future divorce cases, where other judges might reference this ruling to justify unfair decisions.
Social media exploded with reactions. The Tatler Heroine Telegram channel mocked the billionaire’s behavior, calling it a “clown show from a respectable elder.” Journalist Bozhena Rynska didn’t hold back either, saying: “What a disgrace for Boris Belotserkovsky!”
But not everyone was against him. Some users remembered his amicable split with his former wife Nika Belotserkovskaya, suggesting that maybe Polina did something during the marriage to trigger such hostility:
“With Nika, he was fair. Maybe Polina lied or crossed a line. She’s no innocent angel, that’s for sure.”
Polina and Boris married in 2018, when she was 33 and he was 64. He left a 17-year marriage with Nika for Polina. But only two years later, the relationship ended. Polina has since called it a “painful life lesson” and hinted that Boris even demanded she return the gifts he once gave her.
Interestingly, not long after their divorce, Nika Belotserkovskaya posted a photo wearing a ring — reportedly a gift from Boris for her 50th birthday — and shortly after, they were seen vacationing in Sweden. Meanwhile, earlier this year, Polina and Boris crossed paths again at the premiere of the film “The Prophet,” where Boris showed up with a new girlfriend, whose identity remains a mystery.
