She shared a video that highlighted Elliot Page’s recent comments about being shut out of work and added, “I can’t even begin to tell you how I was treated on my last film. Huge pay disparity, disrespect, invalidated, silenced… I could go on.” The clip featured a woman discussing how people were antagonizing Page after his remarks about not being booked since *The Odyssey*.

The actress explained that a casting director told her “people aren’t hiring trans actors because producers think of us as a liability,” and noted she has not landed another role in over four years. She also said, “With everything going on politically, hiring a trans person for a film/tv show could potentially alienate audiences slash not be lucrative. It’s ridiculous.”

Co‑star Ian McIntyre replied, “You don’t deserve any of it, and anyone who knows you knows that you should be treated so much better,” and the performer thanked him, writing, “I’m so grateful you always had my back and continue to be supportive.”

Fans of the franchise flooded her Instagram with messages of encouragement; she later posted a story saying, “I’ve seen the comments, the DMs, the posts on Twitter… thank you.
