Alicia Silverstone is set to reprise her role as Cher Horowitz in a Clueless sequel series, recently greenlit at Paramount+.

The 49-year-old actress will star in the new series, which has received a six-episode order and is scheduled to start production in Los Angeles in 2027, according to Variety.

The show’s logline reveals that Cher has found success in business and mastered motherhood, but parenting a teenager makes her feel ‘clueless’ once again.

Paramount+ expressed pride in filming the series in Los Angeles, honoring the city’s role in the original film and investing in local talent and crews, said Jane Wiseman in a statement.

The series is a sequel to the 1995 classic, in which Silverstone’s character captivated audiences with her style, wit, and optimism, making the film a box office hit and instant pop culture classic.

There is no word yet on a release date or further casting, including potential cameos from original stars like Paul Rudd and Stacey Dash.

The new series is expected to bring back the beloved character of Cher Horowitz, and fans are looking forward to seeing her back on screen.
