Tom Holland is sharing a new update on his Fred Astaire biopic. The 30-year-old Spider-Man star announced in 2021 that he’ll be starring as the legendary dancer and actor in an upcoming movie, directed by Paul King and written by Steven Levenson.

Recently, the actor appeared on Good Morning America where he shared that he’s getting ready to start preparing for the movie. “For me, what I love about my job is the challenges,” he explained.

The actress’s co-star is not yet known, but the odyssey actor went on to note that he has “a desire to use no doubles, to do all of the dancing, to shoot those dances in one shot – how [Astaire] would have done it.”

He added, “I did my first few rehearsals recently, and it both filled me with excitement and absolute dread because I’ve got so much work to do to try and do Fred proud,”

The role of Fred Astaire, and his story, seem to be a hot property lately. In addition to the Spider-Man star, this other actor will also star as the iconic entertainer.

The movie is expected to start production soon, with the 30-year-old diving back into the dance studio as soon as he finishes with his current tours.
