What Donald Trump Just Did
He did it again — cut an interview short. And, honestly, no one’s surprised at this point.
Donald Trump abruptly ended an interview with NBC News after a heated exchange with journalist Kristen Welker. They were discussing elections — and, but, things took a turn. Trump dropped a wild claim about rigged elections — he said, “they’re dropping fast because it’s a rigged election.” How does he keep doing this? Lowkey, it’s the same story every time. Trump ranted about his distrust of mostly every news network — somehow, it’s what he does best. Real talk, it’s a formula that works for him. But, when did this become a thing — where you can just storm out of an interview? Yet, it’s Trump, so it’s not entirely shocking. He’s been spotted making similar moves before, and it always breaks the internet. So, what makes this stand out is — Trump’s ability to spark controversy, no matter the topic. Fans are loving it, but others are slamming him — it’s a divide that’s all too familiar. Trump pointed to the long vote count in California, which is the result of the state’s election rules and reliance on mail-in voting. You can find more on this topic at Wikipedia. It’s a thing — Trump noted that Republicans’ margins in some races are “dropping fast” as the vote is counted. But that’s not due to fraud as he claimed. Somehow, Democratic voters have been more likely to embrace mail-in voting — pretty much, that’s the reason Democratic candidates’ numbers tend to improve. The thing is, it’s not that complicated — but, no joke, it’s what makes Trump’s claims so misleading.
And, it’s what caught attention — Trump’s refusal to back down. But, it’s not like we haven’t seen this before. Gotta say, it’s a move that made waves — and it’s what set tongues wagging. Yet, honestly, it’s just another day in the life of Donald Trump.
It’s lowkey the same story every time — Trump storms out, and the internet goes wild. But, the thing is, it’s getting old.
