Morgan Spector, known for his role in The Gilded Age, will play the iconic role of Robert Langdon in a new Netflix series based on Dan Brown’s novels, specifically Secret of Secrets.

The series adaptation will blend futuristic science with mystical lore, delivering suspense and international intrigue that has made the Langdon stories a global phenomenon.

According to reports, the showrunner Carlton Cuse released a statement about the casting, saying: “Morgan is a truly wonderful actor whose work is always filled with intelligence, thoughtfulness and humanity. He’s the perfect fit for Robert Langdon — a brilliant academic whose curiosity, intelligence and intellect are the tools of his trade.”

The actress who will play the rumored female lead for the show has not been officially announced by Netflix yet.

Tom Hanks previously portrayed Robert Langdon in three films: The Da Vinci Code (2006), Angels & Demons (2009), and Inferno (2016).

The new series does not have a release date at this time, but the source material was released on September 9, 2025, and readers can get a clue of how the story will go by reading the book now.
