Lindsay Lohan is finally speaking out about how fame messed with her head during her younger years — and honestly, it’s raw, real, and long overdue.
Back in the early 2000s, when Lindsay was one of the most talked-about stars on the planet, paparazzi wouldn’t give her a second to breathe. And it took a serious toll. In a recent interview, she revealed that the constant media harassment led to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
“I don’t want my family to go through what I did,” she said. “Those were the scariest moments of my life. I developed PTSD from it all — obsessive thoughts, anxiety… It was terrifying. I still pray nothing like that ever happens again. It wasn’t safe. It wasn’t fair.”
Lindsay explained that the celebrity culture back then was brutal. There were no filters, no boundaries, and no escape from the cameras. She added, “When I was younger, it was so much worse than it is now.”
But surprisingly, Lindsay believes things have improved — and a big reason for that is social media.
“Now, thanks to social platforms, people can share their stories on their own terms,” she said. “They’ve taken back control of their lives.”
Over the years, Lindsay has learned how to keep her private life separate from the spotlight. It’s been a long road, but she’s starting to find peace in setting her own narrative — not letting the tabloids write it for her.
