The “Dream Feast” festival this year was not just about music. It also attracted attention because of the bold stage looks and fashion choices of participating artists. On social media and in the press, many fans and critics shared their thoughts on what performers wore on stage.
As usual, some singers stood out with their elegant and stylish outfits, earning positive feedback. However, others were criticized for their inappropriate looks that didn’t fit the mood of the event.
Fashion designer Shalala Maqsudova, in a statement to “Yeni Sabah”, shared her views on which outfits she found impressive and which ones fell short. She said she saw a lot of different costumes but found more mismatches than fits overall:
“I looked at many performers’ outfits. Some were okay, but most didn’t suit the format of the event. I especially didn’t like Nigar Jamal’s look. It felt like she was stuck in the American 80s or 90s. Her outfit’s top looked like a beachwear piece, and the chest area was too exposed and bulky. That didn’t leave a good visual impression. Just showing skin doesn’t mean it’s fashionable.”
On the other hand, she praised Zulfiyya Khanbabayeva:
“Her outfit, hairstyle, and headpiece were in perfect harmony. She looked like a Hollywood star. Simply put, she looked just right for the stage.”
As for Aygun Kazimova, Maqsudova felt her outfit wasn’t a good pick:
“Usually, her stage outfits are more stylish. But this one didn’t work. I’d say the same for Aysel Teymurzade and Samira Efendi – their looks weren’t really suitable for the stage.”
Among the artists she liked, she mentioned Tunzale Agayeva and Roza Zargarli:
“Tunzale’s look was simple, elegant, and tasteful. Her head accessory completed the whole image. Roza’s appearance was also on point – from makeup to hair, everything matched perfectly.”
Talking about male artists, Maqsudova had a few comments as well:
“Faiq Aghayev’s suit color didn’t suit him. Not a great choice. But I really liked the stage looks of Zamiq Huseynov and Miri Yusif – simple, stylish, and appropriate. Emin Aghalarov’s classic black suit wasn’t striking, but it was a safe and tasteful choice.”
In summary, the “Dream Feast” festival successfully brought together creative talents this year, offering not only musical performances but also memorable visual moments.
