Lanarkshire-based four-piece band Auld White Label will release their new EP Tangents on January 31, 2025. The opening track and lead single, Chapter 1, sets the tone with its industrial sound, hypnotic rhythms, swirling synths, and chopped vocals, offering listeners a richly layered experience.
The EP revolves around the central theme of death and rebirth, blending genres like shoegaze, electronica, synthwave, and IDM. Each of the four tracks was individually written by a different band member, resulting in a diverse yet cohesive sound that reflects transformation and renewal.
Known for defying conventional genre boundaries, Auld White Label previously released two concept albums and contributed to the charity album Northern Strangers, with proceeds supporting Scottish Action for Mental Health.
Tangents was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Andy Miller (Mogwai, Songs: Ohia) at Garglblast Studios near Glasgow, and will be available on all digital platforms.
