Russian singer Alsu, known for her hit “Winter Dream”, surprised her fans by making a bold decision following her public divorce from businessman Yan Abramov. At 41, the artist got her first-ever tattoo on the back of her neck, an act she confessed she wouldn’t have considered before.
Alsu shared the experience with her followers by posting a video from the tattoo parlor. In the footage, the tattoo artist is seen inking a word or phrase on the entire back of her neck while Ariana Grande’s “Thank You, Next” plays in the background.
“All decisions have been made, all 2024 plans finalized,” the singer captioned her post, explaining her choice.
Fans were quick to support the star, applauding her new look and claiming the tattoo suits her. However, not everyone was on board with the idea.
“Tattoos contain heavy metals… Why would you do that?” one commenter questioned.
Previously, stylist Alexander Rogov criticized Alsu’s outfit at the MUZ-TV Awards, calling her attire reminiscent of “service staff.” The singer had opted for a black vest, white shirt with a tie, long skirt, and gloves for the event.
