Meet Cliffords, the Cork band that has been making waves in the music scene with their unique sound. The band, consisting of Iona Lynch, Locon O’Toole, and Gavin Dawkins, has been compared to London rock giants Wolf Alice, a comparison they’ve grown to understand and appreciate.

Where Cliffords Came From

Cliffords have had a busy summer of touring, with performances at festivals like Mad Cool 2026 and BST Hyde Park, where they supported Mumford & Sons. They’ve also opened for Florence + The Machine, an experience that was both exciting and surreal for the band.

Their musical journey began with the release of their debut EP Strawberry Scented in 2024, followed by their critically acclaimed EP Salt of the Lee last year. Towards the end of 2025, they released the standalone single {“Marsh”}, which explored heavier themes of mental health.

Their Sound and Recent Work

The band has been working on a new project, with plans to release a full album soon. They’ve spent months writing and refining their sound, with the majority of the writing done between Cork and Blackpool over the span of four months. The upcoming album will deal with a range of themes, from good and bad to sad and everything in between.

According to the band, their sound has been refined, and they’re excited to share their new music with fans. With their unique blend of sounds and thought-provoking lyrics, Cliffords is definitely a band to watch.
