Ksenia Alexandrova, the Vice Miss Russia 2017 and participant in the Miss Universe 2017 pageant, has tragically passed away after a car accident in the Tver region. The sad news was confirmed on the pageant’s official Instagram account.
According to Russian media, the 30-year-old model was severely injured in July when the car she was in collided with a moose crossing the road. The animal broke through the windshield, causing serious head injuries to Ksenia, who was in the passenger seat. She was taken to the Sklifosovsky Research Institute in Moscow, where doctors fought for her life. Sadly, she passed away on August 12.
Organizers of Miss Universe shared a heartfelt tribute: “We extend our condolences to Ksenia’s family and friends. Her grace, beauty, and spirit have left an unforgettable mark on the Miss Universe family. May her memory continue to inspire kindness, strength, and love.”
Born in Moscow, Ksenia began her modeling career at 19. After becoming the first runner-up at Miss Russia 2017, she represented her country at Miss Universe 2017, though she did not make the top 16. In March, Ksenia announced on Instagram that she had gotten married. In recent years, she had also been working as a psychologist.
