Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster, and his wife Olivia Henson have just welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Cosima Florence Grosvenor. The couple shared the happy news on July 27, saying that their daughter was born in London and that both mother and baby are doing well. They added that they are looking forward to spending this special time together as a family.

The news of Olivia’s pregnancy first came out in March, when a spokesperson revealed that the Duchess was expecting her first child that summer. The couple were said to be overjoyed and excited to start a family.

Hugh Grosvenor married Olivia Henson in June 2024, eight years after inheriting his title following the death of his father, Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor, in 2016. Since then, Hugh has not only embraced his role as Duke, but has also led the Westminster Foundation, focusing on charity work and supporting causes that aim to create long-term positive change.

“We’re focusing our efforts where we believe we can make the greatest impact,” he shared in a June statement.

Hugh also maintains strong ties with the British royal family. He is the godson of King Charles III and a close friend of Prince William, who named Hugh as Prince George’s godfather. William even served as an usher at the wedding of Hugh and Olivia in 2024, attending without his wife, Princess Kate Middleton, who was receiving treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer at the time.

Kate, who shared her diagnosis in March 2024, later revealed that she had completed her chemotherapy by the fall and was now in remission. Speaking publicly in July, she said:

“You put on a brave face during treatment. When it’s over, it’s actually the hardest part. You’re not under medical supervision anymore, but you don’t feel back to your old self either.”

She highlighted how valuable it is to have someone guide you through the recovery phase, both mentally and emotionally. Despite her health challenges, she continues to inspire many with her strength and openness.
