She Past Away is a post-punk band that was formed in 2006 in Bursa, Turkey, by Volkan Caner (vocals and guitar) and İdris Akbulut (bass guitar). Their music blends 80s post-punk and dark-wave styles with minimalist Turkish poetry.

They released their first EP, “Kasvetli Kutlama”, in 2010, and then their first album, “Belirdi Gece”, in 2012, under Fabrika Records. In 2015, bass guitarist İdris Akbulut left the band, and Doruk Öztürkcan, their producer, joined as a keyboardist, adding a unique touch to their sound with electronic elements.

She Past Away’s music reflects the dark and emotional sides of bands like The Sisters of Mercy, The Cure, and Joy Division. They combine this with Turkish poetry, creating a unique style. They released the albums “Narin Yalnızlık” in 2015 and “Disko Anksiyete” in 2019.

Today, She Past Away is recognized as one of the leading bands in the dark-wave genre both in Turkey and internationally. Their music is loved across Europe and America, and they frequently perform at international festivals.
