Toon Porrez, known by his artist name Preztone, was born in 1980 in Ghent, Belgium. Surrounded by music from a young age, he grew up with a DJ father, immersed in a world of vinyl records. As a teenager, Toon frequented record stores, continuously exploring new music and developing his passion.
In the early 2000s, Toon became an entrepreneur, opening a lounge bar in Ghent that eventually transformed into a dancing club. It was during this time that his DJ career took off. Simultaneously, he ventured into modeling after being discovered by a photographer, achieving success in both fields.
Preztone built a substantial audience over the years, playing numerous gigs in the Ghentian night scene and throughout Belgium. His monthly event, Love Boat Party, became an iconic sensation in his hometown.
The Covid-19 pandemic marked a turning point in Preztone‘s career and life. He channeled the challenges and inspirations of this period into creating music, finally realizing his long-held dream of becoming a music producer. In May 2021, Preztone released his first cover, “Weekend,” and has since produced eight more songs, including covers, remixes, and original tracks.
Preztone’s most-streamed song on Spotify, “Spaceship,” has garnered over 187,000 streams, followed closely by “Pay Up“ and “Come Closer.” His music, a blend of pop, tropical house, and deep house, has captured audiences around the world and has been featured on radio stations internationally.
