Doja Cat is making a return with her latest single from the upcoming album, Scarlet. “Demons” follows “Attention” and “Paint the Town Red” and is accompanied by a music video starring Christina Ricci, which Doja Cat directed alongside Christian Breslauer.

Scarlet is scheduled for release on September 22 (via Kemosabe/RCA). When Doja Cat unveiled the album’s cover art and release date, fans noticed the resemblance to the artwork of the German metallic hardcore band Chaver’s album, “Of Gloom.” Doja Cat has since revealed new cover art.

Scarlet comes after her 2021 album, Planet Her. Doja Cat is also gearing up for a tour later this year. Prior to this album cycle, she released “Vegas” in 2022, a track featured on the soundtrack of Baz Luhrmann’s movie, Elvis. In a now-deleted tweet from May, she mentioned that her previous two albums, “Hot Pink” from 2019 and “Planet Her,” were primarily driven by commercial motives, and the audience embraced them.
