With his powerful voice, extensive repertoire, and successful stage performances, Barbaros, who is followed with admiration by music lovers, is introducing his brand new single “Sorma” on March 22 under the label Pasion Turca.
Since 2020 – Barbaros – who has gained the admiration of listeners with his songs “Derbeder,” “Evelallah,” “Takmamak Lazım,” and “Var Mı?” performed together with the beloved voice of Turkish Pop Music, Yaşar, is now presenting “Sorma” to the audience.
Barbaros says about “Sorma”: “When I first heard the song from Tuğrul Cerrahoğlu, who wrote the lyrics of the song ‘Kalbimin Ankara,’ I really liked its melancholic and heart-wrenching atmosphere. I didn’t even feel the need to try singing the song because I felt it would fit my voice perfectly. ‘Sorma’ is an emotionally charged, touching love song. I believe everyone will feel the same and share the song with each other in their special moments.”
Barbaros, a graduate of the Istanbul University State Conservatory Opera Singing Department, not only demonstrates his success in interpretation with the power of his classical music background but also showcases his theatrical talent by taking on leading roles in musicals while opening the doors of world music to listeners with his wide repertoire ranging from opera arias to musicals, from pop music to jazz.
The composition of “Sorma” belongs to Tuğrul Cerrahoğlu, lyrics by Tuğrul Cerrahoğlu and Murat Güneş, and the arrangement is by Batu Çaldıran. The music video for the song is signed by the master director Murad Küçük.
