Sam Asghari has addressed a rumor about his employment status.
While he stood on the SAG-AFTRA picket line on Thursday, the actor from “Special Ops: Lioness” was asked by a photographer to confirm a report suggesting that he was currently without work.
“That’s the purpose of this strike. I have the same number of jobs as Leonardo DiCaprio,” Sam replied, as reported by Page Six. “I hope everything is resolved quickly so that we can all return to what we love most, which is creating art and inspiring people.”
He also expressed support for the Writers Guild of America strike, stating, “Writers are the core and essence of every project we undertake, so SAG is united.”
Another report indicated that Britney Spears, Sam’s estranged wife, was covering the actor’s rent, possibly up to $10,000 (₼17,000) per month.
Sam filed for divorce from Britney last month after a year of marriage. He later refuted rumors of attempting to exploit the singer for a favorable divorce settlement, with his representative informing The Messenger that “no harmful intent has ever been aimed at her and never will be.”
Britney has been preparing for the release of her upcoming memoir and has been reported to be returning to recording music.
