The shocking death of Latvian basketball player Jānis Timma on the night of December 16-17 has brought renewed attention to his tumultuous relationship with singer Anna Sedokova and the emotional struggles he faced after their separation.

Timma and Sedokova had a rocky relationship, which Anna once described as “hell.” They frequently broke up and got back together. However, Timma’s friends and family have criticized Sedokova’s behavior. His close friend Gatis Linins accused Anna of infidelity, claiming Timma had told his mother that she had been unfaithful with football players, an allegation she later denied. Linins also stated that during the summer of 2024 in Miami, Timma allegedly caught Sedokova with other men.

On December 9, their divorce was finalized. Reports suggest that Timma transferred all his real estate to Sedokova’s name, possibly due to his emotional attachment to her. Many, however, believe this left him financially vulnerable.

Timma’s friend Mark Pugachev claimed that on the day of his death, Sedokova contacted Timma’s mother, asking for the PIN code to his bank card. Pugachev also alleged that Sedokova falsely claimed she had contributed financially to Timma’s funeral expenses, when in reality, she had not.

It was later revealed that on the night before his passing, Timma had rented a hotel room in an effort to reconcile with Sedokova. However, the meeting never happened. His sudden death soon after left many questioning whether his emotional distress was linked to his complicated past with Sedokova.

Despite the ongoing controversy, Sedokova has decided to resume her career, performing at private events and planning new music projects. However, the public scrutiny surrounding her personal life continues to affect her reputation.
