The devastating news of Latvian basketball player Jānis Timma’s tragic death on the night of December 16-17 brought attention to his complicated relationship with singer Anna Sedokova and the emotional turmoil following their separation.

Timma and Sedokova endured a rocky relationship, with Anna describing it as “hell.” She admitted they frequently broke up and reconciled. However, Timma’s close friends and family members criticized Anna’s behavior during their time together. One of Timma’s close friends, Gatis Linins, accused Sedokova of infidelity. According to him, Timma confided in his mother that Anna had betrayed him with football players, an accusation she denied publicly. Linins also claimed that during the summer of 2024 in Miami, Timma caught Anna with other men.

On December 9, Timma and Sedokova finalized their divorce. During this process, Timma transferred all real estate into Sedokova’s name, reportedly due to his deep emotional attachment to her. However, this action was criticized by many as enabling Sedokova’s alleged financial exploitation.

Timma’s friend, Mark Pugachev, alleged that on the day of his death, Sedokova contacted Timma’s mother to ask for the PIN code to his bank card. Pugachev further claimed that Sedokova falsely stated she contributed financially to Timma’s funeral expenses when, in reality, she provided no monetary support.

It was revealed that Timma had rented a hotel room the night before his death with the intention of reconciling with Sedokova. However, the meeting never occurred. Timma’s death shortly after this attempt sparked a public outcry, with many linking his emotional distress to the events surrounding Sedokova.

Despite the controversy, Sedokova has decided to resume her career. She has been performing at private concerts and planning participation in new musical projects. However, the ongoing public discussions about her personal life and the accusations against her have cast a shadow over her public image.
