In an interview with Hello! magazine, Maria shared why she decided to marry at such a young age. “We had already been together for almost two years when he proposed,” she said. The young actress also made it clear that she doesn’t recommend rushing into marriage.

“I wouldn’t suggest getting married so early, because not everyone will have the same experience as Nikita and I,” she explained.

Despite her young age, Maria’s marriage seems to be a happy one — the couple is still together. She also pointed out that the decision was completely her own. “No one really pressured me,” she added.

When it came to her education, Maria also followed her own path. Although her famous mother hoped she would study graphic design at Surikov Art Institute, Maria made a different choice. She moved to St. Petersburg for six months with her future husband, and after returning, enrolled at MKhPI (Moscow Art and Industry Institute).
