Known as the “Russian Rocket”, Trusova married Makhar Ignatov, a Russian Championship silver medalist, last summer. Before that, she was in a relationship with figure skater Mark Kondratiuk. Despite being married, she never officially announced retirement, but after the pregnancy rumors, her former coach Tatiana Tarasova stated that she is unlikely to return to professional skating.
